The Latvian bagpipes band at last cracks it with this big, powerful third album.
Well and heftily produced, six wild pipes in unison and harmony, a trough-fiddle
and three thundering skin-drummers, given foundation by grinding bowed guest
double bass, in well-wrought original tunes evocative of a kind of muscular
Latvian tribal tradition.
