Fflach Tradd CD278H (2004)
The only Estonian trad musician in UK captivity, Sille Ilves sings and plays the
husky-toned hiiu-kannel, the Estonian form of horsehair-strung Baltic bowed
lyre, and fiddle. She and Welsh guitarist Martin Leamon deliver an interesting
set of Estonian and Welsh folk songs and tunes plus well-matching originals, the
unusual new perspective revealing a lot of the essence of each tradition.
